Straponz confirm there great form with a big win over old rivals 'No Shows' on Monday night

The Straponz had a slow start to the game but came back strong in the last half of their batting innings to win the game.

ORIGINAL STRAPONZ II

Straponz I I finally hit form on a season that was in turmoil after struggling to find a full team for the rounds 1 - 6

It was a game that was to see a wonderful return to the team by Matho & a new beginning for virgin Strapon Rob.

The Straponz went into field 1st & started in great fashion with Jamie taking 2 wickets to leave the score at 0 after the first over.

Justin followed the captain up with an unusual 15 after the batters managed to reach the back net twice in the one over.

Matho & Brett both had good overs taking a wicket in each to score 3 & 6 in the respective overs.

New recruit Rob started with a 10 & bowled well for his first straponz game.

Glen & Steen bowled the next 2 overs both taking 1 wicket each to score 7 & 1 in their overs. Glen missing a few opportunities due to Jamie's ordinary keeping effort.

Mal hit some rare form with the ball nearly taking a hat-trick in his great over scoring a tidy -3.

Rob, Glen & Steen bowled the first three overs of the 3rd pair without any success in the wicket department. Before Mal came in & nearly took another hat-trick to score -1.

Jamie bowled the first over of the last pair without success bowling an 8 before the in form 'Man of the match' performance taking 3 wickets in his over to score -10.

Brett & Justin both scored 11 in their last overs with only Justin managing a wicket.

"the fielding was ok but we still had plenty of missed opportunities which we will need to improve on before next weeks game against Dreamworld" - Jamie

In the batting Jamie sent Matho & Justin in first with great success after a bad start. The in form pair managed to score a tidy 37 runs.

Jamie & Steen were next in to swing the willow & started off very slowly but recovered to score the skin point & make 21 runs.

Mal & new recruit Rob were sent in next & batted ok but fell at the last hurdle after a misjudged call from godfather Mal for a second run. The call cost them 5 runs & the skin point.

The Banfield brothers were in last & Started & ended in a bad way but still managed to take the skin point by 2 runs after blocking the last 2 balls & having the whole straponz team on the edge of their seats.

"its great to see Matho & Justin in such form with the willow. If the Banfields can gain their normal form & if Steen & I bat ok, we should be in a good place to win next weeks game. Providing we have a full team." - Jamie 

DANIEL PEARSON GUEST APPEARANCE CONFIRMED

The U.K. Strapon will be in Australia on the 13th August. More info as it comes to hand.

Original Straponz Soccer Team Announced

For next season

About 2 years ago the Original Straponz attempted to form an indoor soccer team. HOWEVER there first game score was a dismal 99 - 0 (bearing in mind its 3 points a goal)

the team did pick up form & in fact managed to win the odd game mainly due to 'Abdo' (for those in the know).

The team is still short players but is looking strong with plenty of experience in the unconfirmed team line - up.

These are the players below that either have been confirmed, have been asked or have yet to be approached.

Jamie Ford (Keeper) (c)

Cameron Banks (Striker)

Alex Kempson (UK) (Striker - Midfield)

Saul Burgess (reserve)

Steve (UK) (?)

Brett 'Matho' Matheson (reserve)

Justin Elms (reserve)

At this stage the team is still after 3 more permanent players. However parklands have been approached about this matter & the team should be approved sometime in the next few weeks.

Jamie Ford's Goal Keeping was inspirational & managed to gain many 'Man Of The Matches'. Probably mainly due to the amount of shots on goal due to lack of defense.

Alex Kempson moves to Australia for 12 months from the UK on the 25th of this month & if confirmed will be a Valuable player to the team with plenty of soccer experience.

Cameron Banks is also still to be confirmed but he would be a valuable player with a wicked kick! Scoring plenty of goals out on the turf he will head the straponz attack.

Saul Burgess - Jamie's Brother in Law has also got plenty of experience, though not of late. He would be a substitute & a part time player not always being able to play due to work commitments.

Steve - Recently back from living in the U.K. Steve is a mad keen soccer fan & is keen to play. Could he be the key?

Brett Matheson - Unknown soccer fan & Straponz recruit.

Justin Elms - A fill in player in the first Straponz soccer team. Keen to fill in when needed at times.

BEST WICKET OF ALL TIME

Andrew ' Dicko" Dickison

Stand up world the standard has been set, Dicko is the master of masters, the champ of champions the proud & happy owner of the BEST WICKET OF ALL TIME.

Fielding in the front legside section of the field dicko showed skills that the best soccer players in the world are paid millions for. He kicked the tiny yellow cricket ball with great confidence towards the Bowlers end (some distance away) & clipped the outside stump & knocked it flat. Ned Kelly's hand then lifted to confirm one of the classic wickets ever seen.

Those in the cricket world would know that even hitting the stumps while throwing the ball is a task. Hitting it by kicking the ball... nearly impossible! Well done dicko.

'BOIS back in the studios' 

Bois back in the studios - (from left) CJ, Travis, Kirk, Austin and Billy before going into there lavish new studios based on the Cinema design at pacific fair. "We like to keep a wicked fun & kickin feel to our studios. We decided whenever we record our new gear in these studios to keep the theme going & wear the same skins as the Star Wars gig. were all down with that.." said Austin

Hot news on our boys from Bois. According to insiders the lads have been back in the studio working on the 3rd track for their forthcoming album rumored to be titled "Bois - Coming At You". The new song, which at this point is yet to be titled, is said to be a departure from the usual Bois sound.

"Yo, we been down with the hard edge sound to show we mean business and the smooth lady killer sound, know what I'm sayin'?" said Austin. "Now we experimenting with some new flavour. But we keepin it real."

Apparently the new track has a country feel to it, and shows a more mature side to the boys.

"We try to please everyone," said Kirk, "so if it means probing somewhere that we wouldn't normally go, or opening up a new door and letting our creative juices rush in - well hey, we're all for that."

Unfortunately the scheduled concert at the Beerwah RSL club has been postponed due to Travis suffering an ingrown toenail. Stay tuned for further updates!

STRAPONZ INVADE NORMANDY

Rob & Jamie from the Straponz tilt volunteered to invade Normandy beach with great success.

Live pictures from inside a trench providing cover to an explosive expert only moments after jumping out of a boat & running up the beach dodging 1000's bullets, bombs & flying bodies! Shot taken while reloading the M1. 

manning a trench machine gun in the thick of the action. Rob tried to shot the Germans off the hill to provide cover for the remaining allied forces to group near the towers.

Making it to the top of one of the towers. Attempting to snipe the machine gunners on the other tower. Passing German planes providing extra trouble.
